Como não crio espectáculos a partir de peças de teatro, tive de arranjar formas de começar. A premissa ajuda-me quando me perco no meio do processo, assim posso sempre regressar à motivação original. Para mim, o ponto de partida é quase sempre autobiográfico, por exemplo, no meu último espectáculo a minha premissa era: “Onde fica a minha Índia?”. Mas o objectivo do espectáculo era construir uma peça auto/biográfica sobre uma poetisa Indiana chamada Eunice de Souza. A autobiografia faz-me reflectir sobre temas como verdade, memória, história(s), ficção, autenticidade que são temas que me interessam trabalhar em teatro, também é uma forma mais directa de chegar aos outros, ao público.
